Goat Ranchers!!
Well, at LONG LAST we have livestock. As of 2 weeks ago our goats are in the field, as well 2 donkeys. The past few months have been CRAZY, what with trying to get the barns ready, electric fence working, etc. But now we are starting to settle into the routine. Actually, PAT is starting to settle into the routine!! I spend most of my time in Tulsa so she is responsible for most of the day to day chores, care, feeding, etc. I blow in for the weekends, do what I can, and then head back to the big city. Our garden is looking pretty sad at the moment. We had very little rain this summer and with the focus on other tasks, the garden became rather overrun withs weeds and such. But within the next week or so we will be tilling it all under and prepping for the fall garden. Gonna plant LOTS ofspinach!! We LOVE spinach. Two of the ladies (goats) arrived in a"delicate condition". If all goes well, we will probably be seeing some new kids around the barn in mid December. That, of course, means milking will begin and we will have fresh milk, cheese, and maybe butter if I can get our cream seperator cleaned up and working by then. We also seem to have acquired a new puppy. Pat found him sitting in the middle of the road all alone and whining. She brought him home and he settled right in. Looks like he will make a fine addition to the family farm. Now if he would just learn to be a little less underfoot all the time!! LOL There are lot's of new pictures posted in the photo albums. Check them out. There are pictures of our goats, our new puppy, etc. There are even a couple of pictures of a cute ass. I'll post more later....
